Antibacterial effect and tetracycline release of poly(Ɛ-caprolactone) matrices obtained by iodine polymerization

چکیده

The development of devices to controlled the release drugs are in constant technological innovation. aim is improve on target areas. Poly (ε-caprolactone) (PCL) has been widely investigated because degradation rate, biocompatibility, availability, no toxicity, cost and good adhesion a large number drugs. Thus, present study was associated polymer PCL with antibiotics tetracycline as local delivery system. obtained by ring-opening polymerization monomer Ɛ-caprolactone (Ɛ-CL). samples were characterized fourier transformed infrared (FTIR), differential scanning calorimetric (DSC), thermogravimetric analyses (TGA) X-ray diffraction analysis (X-rays). Likewise, antimicrobial activity against gram-positive bacteria (S. aureus) gram-negative (E. coli, P. mirabilis, aeruginosa K. pneumoniae). According results, successfully incorporated matrices. They ideal rates shows antibacterial activity. So, this material potential used implants for drug release.
